UK to provide all needed support for Lebanon to become more stable: ambassador

BEIRUT, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- The British ambassador to Lebanon said on Thursday that his country will provide all needed support for Lebanon to become more stable, secure and richer, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

"We will invest in Lebanon in 2019 more than in 2018 ... We will help the Lebanese in creating a better future," Chris Rampling was quoted as saying by the NNA.

Rampling also emphasized the need for Lebanon to implement serious reforms to achieve all its goals.

Britain will continue to support the Lebanese army and internal security forces in 2019, he added.
