Saudi Arabia launches 88.8-billion-USD development projects for capital

RIYADH, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia on Wednesday launched development projects worth 88.8 billion U.S. dollars for Riyadh, Al Arabiya TV reported.

The projects aim to enhance the quality of life of the residents of the capital city and cover sectors of education, health and investment, Al Arabiya said.

Among the 2,830 projects 931 have already been completed, it added.

The projects are part of the Saudi Arabia's economic reforms in recent years to make the kingdom less dependent on oil revenues.
