SINGAPORE, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.01 percent or 0.47 points, to close at 3,277.91.
A total of 1.34 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.16 billion Singapore dollars (about 857.16 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 201 to 190.
The STI index went up 0.57 percent, or 18.58 points, to close at 3,278.38 on Wednesday.
