BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Smog will hit parts of northern China from Saturday to Monday, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said Saturday.
Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi and Shandong were hit by smog on Saturday morning, the NMC said.
From Saturday to Monday, mild to moderate smog will sweep central and southern parts of northern China as well as central and northern parts of the Yellow and Huaihe river basins.
The national observatory said parts of Beijing and Hebei would suffer heavy smog during the period.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, a cold front will disperse the smog in these regions from north to south.
