GAZA, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Israeli army drones stormed on Saturday evening the military lookout posts in eastern Gaza Strip, close to the border with Israel, eyewitnesses and local radio stations in Gaza City reported.

They said that Israeli army drones struck with missiles three military posts that belong to Hamas armed wing in eastern Gaza Strip.

Al-Quds radio reported from Gaza City that Israeli army drones attacked military lookout post east of Gaza City, east of Deir el-Ballah in central Gaza Strip and east of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip.

No injuries were reported, the report quoted paramedics and eyewitnesses as saying.

The Israeli airstrikes came shortly after Gaza activists released several arson balloons carrying explosive devices from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel.

An Israeli army spokesman confirmed in a press statement that the Israeli army attacked military facilities that belong to Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip in response to the arson balloons released from the coastal enclave into southern Israel.
