HEFEI, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Police in eastern China's Anhui Province seized 4 kg of heroin and arrested eight suspects in a drug bust, local authorities said on Sunday.
In September last year, police in the city of Hefei received information that a woman surnamed He was cooperating with drug dealers. The police later found that He had frequent contact with a woman surnamed A.
On Jan. 1, He contacted A for 300 grams of heroin and decided to meet the following day, when the police caught A at the site. The police seized 4 kg of heroin and over 220,000 yuan (32,800 U.S. dollars) of drug money, as well as drug-making equipment at He's apartment.
The rest of the suspects were also arrested in Hefei and other cities in the province. An investigation is underway.
