ORURO, Bolivia, March 5 (Xinhua) -- A second-half strike from Gabriel Barbosa gave Brazilian giants Flamengo a 1-0 away victory over Bolivia's San Jose in their opening Copa Libertadores group match here in Tuesday.

The Inter Milan loanee capitalized on a deft Bruno Henrique through ball to calmly slot his shot beyond the onrushing goalkeeper Carlos Lampe in the Bolivian Altiplano, some 3,735 meters above sea level.

In Cochabamba, also in Bolivia, six-time champions Boca Juniors of Argentina drew 0-0 with Jorge Wilstermann.

Paraguay's Libertad posted the biggest win of the first day of South America's premier club tournament, routing Chile's Universidad de Chile 2-1 in Asuncion.

In other matches on Tuesday, Peru's Melgar were kept to a goalless home draw by San Lorenzo while Argentine side Godoy Cruz were also held 0-0 by Paraguay's Olimpia in their clash in Mendoza.
