ACCRA, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Commission (NC) has rallied support to Asante Kotoko as they travel for the final group game of the CAF Confederation Cup against Zesco United in Zambia on Sunday.

A contingent made up of 18 players left here on Wednesday for the match in which victory will ensure the Ghanaian club can advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.

The NC, in a release signed by its Spokesperson Dan Kwaku Yeboah, pledged its unflinching support to Kotoko, Ghana's sole representative in this year's Africa inter-club competitions, after donating 30,000 U.S. dollars to support the team's campaign.

"It is our fervent hope that this will motivate the porcupine warriors to conquer Zesco football club and advance to the next stage of the competition.

"Kotoko has a rich history and Ghana is backing you for victory," the release said.

Ahead of Sunday's game, Kotoko shot stopper Felix Annan is confident the Ghanaian giants will qualify to the next stage of the CAF tier-two contest.

"We believe in our abilities and knowing only a win will take us through. We are going to Zambia with a plan to beat Zesco and seal qualification to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup," he told CAFonline.com.

Asante Kotoko lies third in Group C, just two points behind leaders Nkana FC.
