GAZA, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Ismail Haniyeh, Islamic Hamas movement's politburo chief, said Monday that Palestinian "armed resistance" is able to deter "the Israeli occupation" if it crosses the red line.

Haniyeh said in an emailed press statement that "for any Israeli occupation's violation of the red lines, our people won't surrender and the armed resistance (Hamas and other militants) will be able to deter it."

"The Palestinian cause is facing a comprehensive aggression at all levels and on all fronts in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza as well as the prisoners in the jails of the occupation," said Haniyeh.

He added "therefore, we have to face this comprehensive aggression with national unity and high coordination with our Arab brothers."

Israeli army warplanes and drones carried out on Monday evening several intensive airstrikes on military posts, facilities and compounds in southern, central and northern Gaza Strip, with no injuries reported.

An Israeli army spokesman said in a press statement that Israeli Air Force warplanes struck several posts and facilities that belong to militant groups all over the Gaza Strip.

He said that the airstrikes are a response to earlier rocket attack fired from the Gaza Strip which hit a building in northern Tel Aviv in central Israel, leaving seven Israelis wounded and severe destruction and damage.

Neither Hamas nor any militant group in the Gaza Strip has claimed responsibility for the rocket attack on Tel Aviv.
