BUENOS AIRES, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Argentina international goalkeeper Franco Armani will miss River Plate's Copa Libertadores Group A clash with International because of a hamstring tear, the Buenos Aires club said on Monday.

His starting place for Wednesday match in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre is expected to be taken by former Deportivo La Coruna keeper.

Armani sustained the injury in River's 2-0 win over Talleres in the Superliga Argentina on Saturday.

The 32-year-old is expected to also miss the club's final Superliga fixture of the season against Tigre on Sunday and a home Copa Libertadores clash with Peru's Alianza Lima on April 11.

River, who won their fourth Copa Libertadores title by beating local rivals Boca Juniors in the final in December, are currently second in Group A after drawing each of their first two matches.
