BEIJING, April 6 (Xinhua) -- In the fourth round of Chinese Super League (CSL) on Friday, Beijing Guoan won over Jiangsu Suning 3-0, making history with a four-game winning streak at the beginning of the new season.
Guoan's coach Schmidt commented the game afterwards, "Our players were committed to this game. We took a lead thanks to striker Zhang Yuning's excellent shot. However, after Yu Yang saw a red card, I changed the formation in the second half to keep our momentum till the end. We managed to make our rivalry's defense busy and score another two goals. Our players did a really good job."
Beijing has also kept a clean sheet since the season kicked off. Schmidt said, "Our priority is to grab momentum on victory. Meanwhile, a solid defense is fundamental toward better performance in the season, so we still need to reinforce our defense."
When talking about Zhang Yuning, who has scored two goals in two games, Schmidt said, "He has an outstanding capacity and devotes himself to the team. As an optimistic and diligent player, he will surely continue to make progress."
