3 killed in submarine explosion in southern Iran

TEHRAN, April 6 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed in an explosion in a submarine under construction in the south of Iran on Saturday, semi-official Fars news agency reported.

The three technicians of Iran's defense industries were killed when batteries of the vessel exploded.

The explosion took place at a ship-building factory near the southern port of Bandar Abbas.
