PARIS, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Paris Saint-Germain failed to capitalize on second-placed Lille's 1-1 draw at Reims to claim the Ligue 1 title beforehand, collecting a 2-2 tie with Strasbourg at home in the 31st round match of Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Substitute Thilo Kehrer's late goal helped PSG maintain their 20-point advantage over Lille with seven rounds left to play. Also, PSG have one less match played than the latter.

Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting put PSG in front in the 13th minute after poking Colin Dagba's right-flank cross at target.

The visitors got even through counter-attack in the 26th minute, when Nuno Da Costa sidefooted Lionel Carole's pass home.

PSG almost went ahead again two minutes later. However, Christopher Nkunku saw his goal-bound shot astonishingly dealt with by teammate Choupo-Moting in front of the line.

At the other end, PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon blocked Da Costa's effort outside the box. But the Italian veteran was left stranded against Anthony Goncalves' spectacular volley through 38th-minute corner kick.

PSG veteran Dani Alves had a volley bounce off the crossbar in the 69th minute. World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, who came off the bench this match, dummied Strasbourg defenders before being denied by goalkeeper Matz Sels. Kehrer made the most of the ensuing corner from Julian Draxler to head an equalizer with eight minutes remaining.

Lille got the breakthrough in the 55th minute. Jose Fonte rose highest to nod Thiago Mendes' corner home.

However, that was not enough for them to bag full points, as Tristan Dingome teed up Remi Oudin's goal 12 minutes from time. The goal was validated by the match referee following VAR review despite being shown the offside flag at first.

PSG just need one point in next Sunday's head-to-head visit to Lille for their sixth league title over the past seven seasons.

Lille, on the other hand, sit five points clear of third-ranked Lyon, who were shocked by Dijon 3-1 at home on Saturday, in contention for second automatic spot in next season's Champions League group stage.

Also on Sunday, Nice beat Montpellier 1-0 to climb to seventh at the expense of their opponents. Toulouse finished a 1-0 home win over Nantes.
