ZHENGZHOU, April 10 (Xinhua) -- The second China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Cultural Heritage Forum was unveiled Wednesday in Luoyang in central China's Henan Province.

Representatives from China and countries in central and eastern Europe will have thorough discussions on how to advance cultural heritage protection and relevant cooperation.

The forum was held by China's State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH) and Henan Provincial People's Government.

"The international cooperation in cultural heritage is an important part of the building of the 'Belt and Road' and it serves as a 'high-speed train' that propels people-to-people exchanges among China and other countries," Liu Yuzhu, head of the SACH, said at the opening ceremony.

During the two-day forum, officials and scholars from China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia will explore the focuses and channels of cooperation in world cultural heritage application and management, archaeological research and cultural heritage protection.

The first China-CEEC Cultural Heritage Forum opened in Belgrade, Serbia, in May 2017.
