JAKARTA, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's kurash team has set a target of winning two gold medals at the forthcoming SEA Games 2019 in the Philippines later this year, the Indonesian Kurash Association disclosed here on Wednesday.

The organization will send 10 athletes to compete at the 30th biennial regional multi-sport event, scheduled to be held from November 30 to December 11, said association chairman Major General Hafil Fuddin.

"If we become a champion, it will be even better," the chairman said.

Kurash is a type of folk wrestling originating in Central Asia. Indonesia's kurash squad for the SEA Games will comprise five male and five female athletes.

Wrestler Khasani Najamu, who secured a gold medal in the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia, was upbeat over the target, saying that the competition at the upcoming SEA Games would not be as tough as that in the Asian Games.
