BELO HORIZONTE, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Former Brazil international striker Fred scored a hat-trick as Brazil's Cruzeiro earned a berth in the Copa Libertadores knockout phase with a 4-0 victory over Argentine side Huracan on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old former Lyon and Fluminense player struck three times in 13 first-half minutes before Dodo completed the rout with a long-range effort seven minutes from time.

The result left Cruzeiro eight points clear at the top of Group B with four wins from as many matches. Huracan were last with a draw and three defeats.

In Argentina, six-time Copa Libertadores champions Boca Juniors romped to a four-goal home win over Bolivia's Jorge Wilstermann. Emanuel Reynoso, Dario Benedetto and Mauro Zarata were on target for the hosts while Brazilian Alex Sandro turned the ball into his own net in second-half injury time.
