Chinese classic violin works of past century published

BEIJING, April 11 (Xinhua) -- A collection of classic violin works of Chinese composers over the past century has been published, the People's Daily reported Thursday.

The book set, compiled in chronological style, includes 101 violin works by 79 composers, each with information on composition time, background and introduction of the related composer and a review.

Titled "A Century of Violin Works by Chinese Composers (1919-2019)," the set was published in seven volumes by the Shanghai Music Publishing House.

The publication aims to promote the development of violins in China and cultural exchanges between China and other countries, according to its publisher.
