LONDON, April 12 (Xinhua) -- English Premier League side Arsenal have confirmed they are investigating a video, currently circulating on Social media, which appears to show one of their supporters racially abusing Napoli central defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The alleged incident occurred during Thursday night's Europa League quarterfinal first leg tie which Arsenal won 2-0 in their Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have issued a statement that reads: "We utterly condemn the use of any racist language and have launched an investigation to identify the culprit."

"We operate a zero tolerance approach, and anyone behaving like this is not welcome at Arsenal and will be banned from matches," comment the club adding that supporters are "encouraged to report any incidents as they happen to stewards or via our matchday alert service," the statement continued.

Recent weeks have seen other racist incidents with some England players the targets for racist abuse during England's recent 5-1 win away to Montenegro.
