BEIJING, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese National Radio and Television Administration has issued an immediate ban on illegal fund-raising advertising.
Nationwide radio and TV broadcasters and online service providers should remove illegal fund-raising advertising that disguises itself as investing in films or TV dramas, said the administration.
Some institutions have been suspected of illegally raising funds from the public under the guise of a film or TV drama investment by advertising on the Internet or TV, seriously affecting the economic and financial order and social stability, it said.
Radio and TV administrative departments at all levels should intensify regular supervision and severely punish those who violate the regulations.
