BEIJING, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Xie Pengfei and Brazilian Alex Teixeira struck twice to help Jiangsu Suning beat Shenzhen 2-0 in the fifth round of the 2019 Chinese Super League matches on Saturday.
Against the newly-promoted Shenzhen, Xie broke the deadlock from a corner in the 15th minute before Teixeira beat the chasing goalkeeper to make it 2-0 in the 37th minute.
Tianjin Tianhai were still seeking for their first win of the season after they played a 1-1 tie against Tianjin Teda.
Brazilian winger Alan scored for Tianhai in the 38th minute, his first goal after being transferred from Guangzhou Evergrande, and his compatriot Johnathan Aparecido made the equalizer for Teda in the 62nd minute.
Elsewhere, Chongqing Lifan beat Hebei China Fortune 2-1 to claim their third straight win.
