RIO DE JANEIRO, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Athletico Paranaense's Guilherme Camacho and Thiago Heleno have been provisionally banned in Brazilian football's latest doping scandal.

Both players tested positive to a prohibited supplement after separate Copa Libertadores matches last month, the Globo Esporte news service reported. They face suspensions of up to two years if B samples also return positive.

Heleno's random test occurred after Athletico's 1-0 home victory over Deportes Tolima on April 9 and Camacho's sample was taken after a 3-2 defeat to Jorge Wilstermann in Bolivia April 24.

The news comes less than two weeks after Brazilian sports doping authority ABCD said that Sao Paulo's Uruguayan forward Gonzalo Carneiro tested positive for Benzoylecgonine - the main metabolite of cocaine.

Athletico Paranaense advanced to the Copa Libertadores knock out phase during the week by securing second place in Group G behind Boca Juniors.

As the defending Copa Sudamericana champions, the team from Curitiba will also contest the Recopa Sudamericana on May 22 and 29 against Copa Libertadores holders River Plate.
