BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Hollywood's "Pokemon Detective Pikachu" continued to top the Chinese mainland box office Thursday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network Saturday.
The live-action/animated film grossed 23.40 million yuan (about 3.38 million U.S. dollars) on the day.
It was followed by "A Dog's Journey", which took in about 18.86 million yuan in its first day on screen.
Coming in the third was Disney and Marvel's "Avengers: Endgame," which took in about 11.32 million yuan.
