BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment's action film "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" will be put on general release in Chinese theaters starting Friday, after multiple test screenings.
The film, a sequel to the 2014 film "Godzilla," tells the story of a cryptozoological agency's efforts to save the humanity as monsters fight for supremacy.
The 2014 film grossed over 480 million yuan (about 70 million U.S. dollars) at the Chinese mainland box office.
