Chinese shares close lower at midday Thursday

BEIJING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended lower in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.46 percent at 2848.34 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went down 0.92 percent to end at 8665.86 points at midday.
