KUWAIT CITY, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait will enhance the weather forecast by installing new monitoring stations, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported Thursday.
Kuwait is seeking to install climate observation stations in the country to enhance the national capacities for accurate weather forecasts, said Khaled Al-Shuaibi, deputy director general of Aviation Services at the Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Kuwait is also seeking to establish an early warning system to anticipate natural catastrophes, Al-Shuaibi added.
"Kuwait is taking this approach because of the noticeable rise of the temperature during this summer," he explained.
Temperature soars to as high as 48 degrees Celsius this summer in Kuwait, according to KUNA.
