RENNES, France, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The head coach of Chinese women's national football team Jiu Xiuquan said here on Friday that he hoped more good players would have the chance to play in the high-level clubs in overseas leagues.
"The Chinese football is very open, both for men and women's teams. I hope there will be more good women footballers to play in the high-level clubs around the world," said Jia at a press conference, "Wang Shuang is the first one. I believe the association will support more good players to go to the good clubs to improve."
Jia believed it's good for the team to have more players in European leagues. "They will grow stronger. Wang Shuang is a good example at PSG. I hope to see more Chinese players to compete in the overseas game."
"The Chinese team will learn all the good things from around the world. I became the head coach of the national team. I believe I was chosen due to my experience, I'm responsible for my job. The Chinese team used to have foreign head coach and we'll not shut the door on foreign coaches in the future. "
Jia introduce the Chinese women's Super League for the German media on the conference. "The league is making progress by introducing foreign players and coaches. They've brought many news things for us. The Chinese women's football is benefiting from it."
"I hope our league will develop in the right way and we welcome the good players and coaches to come to China," said Jia.
