8 injured in hand grenade attack in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, July 3 (Xinhua) -- A hand grenade attack in Pakistan's southwest city of Turbat on Wednesday afternoon left at least eight people injured, local media reported.

According to the reports, two unknown miscreants riding on a motorcycle hurled a hand grenade at a vehicle of security forces at the Bismillah Medical Chowk area of Turbat, a city in Kech district of the country's southwest Balochistan province.

At least two security personnel are among the injured, reports said. Security forces, police and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the wounded to the Civil Hospital of the city. Hospital officials told media that condition of all the injured is stable.

Security forces and police have launched a search operation in the city to arrest the culprits. No group has claimed the attack yet.
