Two world champions to vie in 2019 World Motocross Grand Prix

JAKARTA, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Two world champions and 39 world-class crossers will compete in the 2019 World Motocross Grand Prix next week in Indonesia's Central Java province, the association said here on Thursday.

The 2019 Worls Motocross Grand Prix is slated to be held from July 12 to 14 in the provincial capital of Semarang, and will be the second event held by Indonesia this month; the first will be held from July 6 to 7 in provincial capital of South Sumatra, Palembang, according to the chairman of Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) Sadikin Aksa.

"There are two world champions that will take part in this world-class championship," he was quoted by Kompas media as saying.

The chairman added that Semarang city is one of the best places in the world for staging the world motocross championship.

The 2019 World Motocross Grand Prix is slated to be held in the BSB Mijen circuit, which boasts a capacity of 50,000 people, the mayor said.
