BEIJING, July 11 (Xinhua) -- "The White Storm 2: Drug Lords" continued topping the Chinese mainland box office on Wednesday, China Movie Data Information Network reported Thursday.
The Chinese anti-drug action film earned 66.41 million yuan (9.67 million U.S. dollars), accounting for 58.9 percent of the daily ticket sales.
"Spider-Man: Far from Home," the latest installment of the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe, ranked second, pulling in 26.10 million yuan.
Coming in third is Universal and Illumination's "The Secret Life of Pets 2", which grossed 8.97 million yuan.
"The White Storm 2: Drug Lords" boasted a total box office of 655 million yuan since its July 5 premiere on the Chinese mainland.
