6 killed, 7 injured in traffic accident in east China

NANJING, July 11 (Xinhua) -- A traffic accident killed six people and injured seven others in east China's Jiangsu Province Thursday, according to local police.

The accident occurred at about 4:40 a.m. when a truck rear-ended another and collided with a minivan on a section of the Beijing-Shanghai expressway in the city of Taizhou, local police said.

The treatment of the injured, rescue efforts and further investigation are underway.
