BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhua) -- CITIC Securities, one of China's leading brokerage firms, reported rising net profit in the first half of this year (H1).
Net profits for the parent company increased by 15.83 percent year on year to 6.45 billion yuan (about 940 million U.S. dollars) in H1, according to a statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Operating revenue stood at 21.86 billion yuan during the period, up 9.33 percent from a year ago, the statement showed.
By the end of June, the company's net assets totaled 723.87 billion yuan.
CITIC Securities shares added 0.19 percent to close at 23.37 yuan per share on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Friday.
