Kazan, Budapest to host 2025, 2027 FINA World Swimming Championships

GWANGJU, South Korea, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The world's aquatic sports governing body FINA announced here on Sunday that Kazan, Russia and Budapest, Hungary will be the hosts for the 2025 and 2027 FINA World Swimming Championships.

FINA President Julio Maglione made the announcement during a press conference at the ongoing Gwangju World Swimming Championships.

Earlier, Kazan hosted the 2015 World Championships while Budapest held the Championships in 2017.

The 2021 FINA World Championships will be held in Fukuoka, Japan which earlier hosted the 2001 worlds, with the 2023 World Championships to be staged in Doha, Qatar for the first time.
