Zambia names final squad for Botswana CHAN qualifier

LUSAKA, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Care-taker coach of the Zambia national soccer team Aggrey Chiyangi on Tuesday named his final 20-member squad to face Botswana in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier.

Zambia will face Botswana for the 2020 CHAN second round first leg on Friday, July 26 with the second leg set for the National Heroes Stadium on August 3.

Winner over two legs will play either Angola or Eswatini in the final qualifying round for the tournament meant for players featuring in African leagues.

Final squad:

Goalkeepers: Sebastian Mwange (Green Buffaloes), Lawrence Mulenga (Power Dynamos)

Defenders: Simon Silwimba, Mwila Phiri, Clement Mwape (Zesco United), Gift Zulu (Nkana), Lawrence Chungu (Zanaco), Isaac Shamujompa (Buildcon), Adrian Chama (Green Buffaloes)

Midfielders: Jackson Chirwa (Green Buffaloes), Larry Bwalya, Benson Sakala (Power Dynamos), Ernest Mbewe (Zanaco), Webster Muzaza (Forest Rangers), Bruce Musakanya (Red Arrows), Kelvin Kampamba (Nkana)

Strikers: Tapson Kaseba (Green Buffaloes), Emmanuel Chabula (Nkwazi), Chitiya Mususu (Zanaco), Youremember Banda (Green Buffaloes).
