BEIRUT, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Health Minister Jamil Jabak announced Thursday that he has signed an agreement with Iraq to export all kinds of Lebanese pharmaceutical drugs to the country, the National News Agency reported.
"Iraq has agreed to remove all obstacles facing the entry of Lebanese pharmaceutical drugs to the country," Jabak said.
The minister said that this new agreement will boost the local pharmaceutical drugs industry and encourage local factories to increase their production to cater to a huge Iraqi population of nearly 40 million.
Jabak also said that his ministry has agreed with hospitals to provide the best services for Iraqis who come to Lebanon for medical treatment which will put Lebanon back on Arab medical map.
