CIXI, China, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese cagers did well beyond the arc to beat Cameroon 84-70 in a warm-up game here on Friday to tune up for the coming 2019 FIBA World Cup.

The Chinese shooters converted more than half of their three-point attempts into points en route to the easy victory as five members got double digits against two for the visitors.

The hosts started the game with a 15-5 spurt, established a nine-point lead into the second half, and kept the advantage till the last whistle against the attacks from Cameroon.

Chinese guard Zhao Rui had a team-high 18 points with Wang Zhelin adding 14, while Arnaud William led the Cameroon team with 18 points.

"We didn't do well in rebounding where we lost 31-36," said Chinese head coach Li Nan.

A second game against Cameroon is scheduled two days later in Xi'an.
