Colombia's Chalapud wins 2019 Tour of Qinghai Lake

YINCHUAN, China, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Colombian cyclist Robinson Chalapud took overall victory in the 2019 Tour of Qinghai Lake here on Saturday, completing the 13-stage tour in 37 hours, 18 minutes and 40 seconds.

Riding for the Colombian Medellin team, Chalapud sported the yellow jersey symbolizing the overall leader of the competition.

The green jersey representing the largest points total was held by Eduard Grosu from the French Delko Marseille Provence squad.

Kazakhstan's Artur Fedosseyev took the blue jersey as the leading Asian rider, and the polka dot jersey representing the best climber was firmly held by Hernan Aguirre from Japan's Interpro Cycling Academy.

The Tour's total length was 3,001 kilometers, including 1,631 kilometers for competition and 1,370 kilometers for transition, covered over 14 days.
