ISTANBUL, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police on Tuesday seized 72,000 opiate pills and a large amount of cocaine in Istanbul, local media reported.
Acting on a tip-off, police captured two suspects believed to be in the illegal drug trade market, the state-run Anadolu Agency said.
One detainee was later arrested while the other was released under judicial control, according to the agency.
Press reports said the seized drugs were illegally transported into the country from abroad.
