BEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- China has unveiled a new intelligent system for the digital transformation of its publishing industry, according to the National Intellectual Property Administration (NIPA) Wednesday.

Developed by the Intellectual Property Publishing House, the system will facilitate the paperless process of editing, proofreading as well as typesetting, promoting the digital transformation and upgrading of the publishing industry.

Gan Shaoning, deputy head of the NIPA, said that in the process of traditional publishing, the review of the manuscripts is mainly done in paper form, which usually takes a lot of repetitive work. It is imperative to use advanced technology to improve efficiency.

The system integrates the role of intelligent editing, printing services and copyright management, which is expected to improve the quality of publishing, shorten working hours and improve publishing efficiency.
