Education ministry releases timetable for postgraduate entrance exam

BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Education has unveiled the schedule for the 2020 national exam for postgraduate enrolment on Monday.

The test is set to be held from Dec. 21 to 22, 2019, said the ministry in a statement, adding that exams for certain subjects like architectural design, which last for more than three hours, will be held on Dec. 23.

A total of 2.9 million Chinese students sat the entrance exam for postgraduate studies last year, the highest number in the past 40 years, according to statistics by the ministry.
