ABU DHABI, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- The UAE crown prince confirmed the UAE stands with Saudi Arabia in confronting any challenges threatening regional security and stability, the official WAM news agency reported Monday.
The Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed made the statements during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
Condemning the recent attacks on two Aramco's oil processing facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais, Sheikh Mohammed said they were subversive acts undermining regional efforts for peace.
He added both countries shared the same goals to safeguard the future and security of those living in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region.
During the call, Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed the UAE's support for all measures taken by the kingdom to ensure the safety of its citizens.
"The UAE and Saudi Arabia are standing as partners in facing besetting challenges," he said, "our shared goals are the security of our nations."
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues and stressed their desire to enhance bilateral ties.
