BRATISLAVA, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- After three rounds of the Slovak premier hockey league Tipsport Liga, 7 out of 13 teams are tied for the top position with six points each.

Slovan Bratislava disappointed their fans, surprisingly succumbing to Nove Zamky 7-6 on Tuesday in their first home match of the season in the Ondrej Nepela Arena.

Bratislava lost a comfortable 4-2 lead in the last period when the visitors scored a staggering five times, with Vaclav Stupka finishing the night with a hat-trick for Nove Zamky.

Kosice edged in a close 3-2 victory over Trencin, with Michal Skokan scoring the game-winner only 18 seconds into the second period.

Detva remains one of two teams without a single point earned. Their third loss in a row came on home ice. The visitors from Zvolen outscored Detva 6-5 in an attractive derby between two teams from the central region of Slovakia.

The other struggling team is last-placed Liptovsky Mikulas. Nitra served them their third loss of the season, crushing the visitors mercilessly 6-0 and moving to the top spot of Tipsport Liga.

Poprad earned their first point of the season triumphing over Budapest, one of the two Hungarian teams playing in the Slovak premier league, 6-5 in overtime. Samuel Takacs scored twice for the home team and added two assists.

Tipsport Liga's newcomers Michalovce lost their first match of the season. Miskolc, the other of the two Hungarian teams, triumphed 4-1, leading by the Canadian-born defenseman Davis Vandane who finished the night with a hat-trick.
