BEIRUT, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Sources close to Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that Saudi Arabia is planning to support Lebanon by investing in Lebanese Eurobonds or through a deposit in Lebanese banks, local TV Channel LBCI reported.
"This support will have positive repercussions on Hariri's negotiations in France with regard to CEDRE," sources said.
Hariri went to Riyadh on Wednesday, ahead of a trip to Paris to meet President Emmanuel Macron.
In France, talks will focus on structural reforms in Lebanon needed to unlock 11 billion U.S. dollars in funding pledged during CEDRE conference by international donors last year.
Prices of Lebanese dollar-denominated Eurobonds increased slightly on Wednesday following reports about Saudi Arabia planning to provide financial support for Lebanon.
