BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Alan Mak, director and writer of Infernal Affairs, will direct a new film featuring Chinese prosecutors' litigation work in the country's campaign against organized crimes and local mafias.
The film, which is inspired by a true story, will be co-produced by film companies and the in-house film incubator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), according to the SPP.
Written by Zhao Peng, a professional prosecutor, the film will feature many authentic litigation scenarios, said Mak.
The film is expected to start shooting in March 2020 and hit screens in 2021.
