HANGZHOU, China, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Aaron Jackson and Hu jinqiu combined to score 60 points as Zhejiang Lions overcame Fujian Sturgeons 93-90 in their opening game of 2019-2020 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Saturday.
Jackson had 32 points and 12 assists while Hu Jinqiu scored 28 points and 13 rebounds for the home team. Ty Lawson got 22 points and 5 assists and Wang Zhelin added 16 points and 17 rebounds for Fujian.
Zhejiang Lions had the match early before Fujian pulled it back to trail 54-48 in the first hal.
Fujian stormed to a 8-0 run to lift the away team to a 56-54 lead and extended the leading advantage to 7 points after Lawson hit two consecutive 3-pointers at the end of the third quarter.
It were Hu and Jackson who picked up the offence to outscore the opponents 24-14 in the fourth quarter.
