Saudi king receives GCC leaders, representatives in summit

RIYADH, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi received on Tuesday Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders and their representatives taking part in the summit in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Omani Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said was the first to arrive, followed by Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Saudi king also received Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Kuwait Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The 40th session of the GCC Supreme Council will be held at Diriyah Palace in Riyadh. The summit, under the chairmanship of Saudi king Salman, will discuss key regional and international topics, along with cooperation between member states.
