BRATISLAVA, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Lucenec moved up to second place in the Slovak Basketball League after a thrilling 103-100 win over Levice after double overtime on Sunday.

Levice finished their toughest week of the season - with three games on the schedule - with their second defeat in a row, despite starting off well in Lucenec and going into the break with a 12-point lead.

Komarno's horrible negative streak continues, losing to Zilina 77-72 for their seventh defeat in a row. A few days after appointing Dusan Kasum as their new head coach, Komarno's management changed their minds again and hired Jozsef Molnar, also sacking experienced point guard Nenad Milosevic and signing Johnny Baldwin instead. The new addition to the team ended his debut with 11 points, two rebounds, and seven assists.

Miles Bowman led the scoring department against Zilina with 23 points and 19 rebounds but couldn't stop the visitors from taking their eighth victory of the season and strengthening their hold on fifth spot in the table.

Elsewhere, in the bottom half of the table, Handlova defeated Spisska Nova Ves 83-75, handing the visitors their third consecutive loss. An equally-balanced clash was decided by Handlova's more efficient and calmer offense during crunch-time.

Earlier in the week, Bratislava and Levice played out their postponed 13th round clash. Inter Bratislava confirmed its current top-form and top spot in the rankings by winning the fifth consecutive match, beating Levice 81-75.

The visitors led by 12 points at the break but Bratislava rallied in the second half thanks to an improved defense, brought more energy to the court and took the lead in the final stage.
