Ty Lawson leads Fujian past Guangzhou 122-103 in CBA

GUANGZHOU, Dec. 17(Xinhua) -- Ty Lawson scored a team-high 31 points to help Fujian Sturgeons trounce Guangzhou Long Lions 122-103 on road in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to three.

Lawson shone at both ends, dishing out nine assists and grabbing 10 rebounds. Chen Linjian contributed 25 points while Wang Zhelin had 23 points and 13 rebounds for Fujian. Andrew Nicholson had a game-high 34 points plus 11 rebounds for Guangzhou.

Fujian had a slender two-point advantage into halftime before Lawson led a 12-2 spurt to help Fujian lead 96-80 at the end of the third quarter. The visitors held their advantage well in the fourth to seal the victory.
