ASUNCION, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Reigning champions Flamengo of Brazil will meet Ecuador's Copa Sudamericana title holders Independiente del Valle in the group stage of the 2020 Copa Libertadores.
The clubs will be pitted against Colombian side Junior Barranquilla and a qualifier in Group A, the South American football governing body CONMEBOL said.
The group stage of South American football's top club competition will begin on March 3 following a three-stage qualifying campaign ending on February 20.
Meanwhile, 2019 runners up River Plate of Argentina will confront Brazil's Sao Paulo, Liga Deportiva of Ecuador and Peru's Binacional in Group D.
River's Buenos Aires rivals Boca Juniors have been drawn in Group H alongside Libertad of Paraguay, Venezuela's Caracas and a qualifier.
The tournament champions will earn 15 million US dollars in prize money. The final will be played at Rio's Maracana stadium on November 21.
