The Tibet ancient books protection center in Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region has expanded its digital library of ancient Tibetan books and folios, making thousands of rare texts available worldwide.
As part of efforts to protect the region's ancient culture, the center announced it had added another 18,000 pages to its online platform on the official website of the Tibet Library.
Users can search, copy and download documents or books for free on the platform.
To ensure damage to the fragile books and documents, the center uses advanced techniques when copying them, such as non-contact high-definition scanning.
