LANZHOU, May 12 (Xinhua) -- The National Land Search and Rescue Base is located in Lanzhou city, northwest China's Gansu Province. Established in 2010, it is one of eight professional land search and rescue bases in China. The base serves to raise public awareness of disaster prevention and to increase knowledge and skills to enable survivors to better cope during and after disasters.
